Description

Up for sale are 'One Pair' of Yamaha Club Series S-115 Bass Speakers, each incorporating a Yamaha Heavy-duty Cast Aluminum 15" woofer in a rear-loaded folded horn enclosure.
Description:
These Yamaha Speaker Cabinets are a "little special". Their folded horn design is a departure from today’s more common tuned port varieties. Tuned port enclosures (or 'Bass reflex' as they are often called) are more common for several reasons. The primary reason is expense. Tuned port enclosures are much easier and cheaper to build than Folded horn designs. Nonetheless, if an audio engineer had his choice he would pick a folded horn.

What is the Folded Horn Advantage?
Folded Horns are more efficient (they leverage more of the acoustic environment).
Folded Horns have a deeper, more natural, extended low frequency response.

What are the drawbacks?
Folded horns are typically larger.
Folded horns are more expensive and difficult to produce... It's nearly impossible to build one for yourself!

Features:
- Highly efficient Folded Horn Design
- Yamaha 15" Speaker with Cast Aluminum Frame
- Recessed Steel Handles
- Four Caster Wheels
- Banana Plugs (gold)
- 300 Watts RMS
- Frequency Response 35Hz - 2.5kHz
- Dimensions(cabinet) 30 x 28 x 15 (HWD)
- Weight 95 lbs.

Condition:
These Speaker enclosures are in excellent shape. They have some scuffs and scratches due to their general use, but both function flawlessly. The outer Tolex coverings have held up beautifully on each cabinet and the speaker grills remain nice and tight. The Yamaha speakers in these enclosures are made of thick casted aluminum and were specially designed by Yamaha to never warp. The speaker cone surrounds are made of very durable cloth and remain in excellent condition on both of these speakers. All of these speakers’ features are original, with the exception of the banana plug inputs, which were installed as an upgrade to their original 1/4" phono jack inputs (they're simply more professional). Nevertheless, the original 1/4" phono jack mounting rings will be provided to you, should you ever wish to use them. As for their sound, these are winners! I liked them so much I bought two! These enclosures make for excellent PA subs.

Speaker Pickup:
I am not shipping these speakers because of the high cost of doing so. I have listed these speakers at an extremely low price for this reason.
I am located in Cumberland, Maryland and have a flexible schedule to conveniently accommodate a buyers’ desired pick-up date and time.

Payment:
The buyer can pay in cash at the time of pick-up.

Thanks for your interest!
